Incase you are unfamiliar with what NaNoWriMo is, its National Novel Writing Month. It is an online literary contest to try to write a 50,000 word story in the month of November.
But if you are like me and still in school, trying to make time so close to the end of the semester/quarter can be difficult. November just isn’t that great of a month to try to write a book. You’ve got all your teachers getting you ready for finals and other tests. You just started the post-Halloween depression and are dreading the fact you’re gonna have to put up with Christmas songs and ads for the next two months.
I’ve tried this contest the last three years but never made the goal. This year I did pretty well though and made it to 16,350. But since I still don’t have a job and out of school, I figured what the hell I’ll make up my own version in a better suiting time.
I’m not sure if I’ll post any of my writing here as I feel like I suck at writing no matter how hard I try but, you never know, I might change my mind. This will be good practice. (Plus, I figured if I make my self announce my progress here it will keep me motivated)
